Spotlight on Swap.com

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of CarlSwap. All opinions are 100% mine.

Today in the spirit of saving money and decluttering your old stuff, I'm telling you about Swap.com. Swap.com is creating the world's largest swap market. Through online swapping of books, movies, music, and video games, or local swapping of just about anything else, Swap.com has the largest community of swappers.
As someone's who bought a lot of books and cds, both new and used, online, I love the concept behind Swap.com.  The site essentially allows you to take a book, cd, movie, or video game that you are no longer using, and send it to someone who wants it. Meanwhile, that person sends you something that you want.
Think about it: How often do you a buy a book, read it once, and then throw on it on a shelf or in a box in the attic?  And how many video games have your children outgrown or grown tired of playing?  And what about that cd that was one of your favorites a few years ago, but you'll most likely never play again?  These are all items that are just taking up space in your home, but someone out there may like to have them. So swap them!
The best example I can personally identify with is college text books.  I wrote a post a couple of years ago on how to save money on text books, and I mentioned swapping with friends and classmates as well as buying online. And I believe Swap.com is a great new option that takes both of these ideas to a whole new level.
Swap.com also has a Swap4Schools program.  If you work at a school, simply create an account and make a list of books your still would like to have, and donations will come directly to your school.
And if you're interested in swapping locally, you can check out Swap.com's Local Swap Pages or look for a Swap Event in your Area.  Swap.com also makes it easy to manage your account, no matter where you are, with the Swap.com iPhone app.
Go check out Swap.com, and start swapping!
