Grape and Berry Garland

 In a previous post some months ago, I mentioned that our kitchen had a bit of an identity crisis. Since then I've gotten it a little more "together." I've went with predominately red accessories, except above the cabinets where the majority of my antiques and things were blues and tans.
But after I decided to go with reds, my awesome mom brought me a whole box of grape garland. It was really pretty, so I just had to use it, but I also wanted to add some red elements to bring the top of the cabinets together with the rest of the space. So today I'm sharing my solution!

We just finished up our tax stuff this past week.  As a blogger and someone who's been keeping home business records for the last few years, I find it helpful to do bookkeeping and filing on a regular basis to stay organized.

Lemon Buttercream Cupcakes

Before I get to this week's recipe, I have to share this story with you. Tonight we were at a local food tasting event, and Gigi's Cupcakes was one of the vendors.  As I approached the booth, all wide eyed and smiling (as I always tend to be in the presence of a Gigi's Cupcake), I told my husband, "I have to decide which ones I want to try."  And the girl behind the table said, "Take as many as you want."  And I said, "Oh no! Over Easy Egg "Scramble"

I've always eaten scrambled eggs for breakfast. But some people (let me pause for a minute so I can look around the room) like their eggs cooked other ways.  
Let's just say, I was very excited at the beginning of my married life when I was making my first breakfast, and my hopes were very quickly dashed, when I was told, "I like my eggs cooked over easy." And I had to say, "Huh? What is that?" Too funny! Live and learn, I guess!
Anyway, this week I'm sharing what I like to call the Over easy Egg Scramble.  It's like sort of like a traditional breakfast scramble except it's got some carbs added in, and of course the eggs are not scrambled, they're cooked over easy, or as we always said in my house growing up, "fried."

Organizing with Clipix

I always love learning about free online tools and services. Clipix is new, free tool for organizing our lives online.  It's very easy to use.  Just drag the "clip" to your bookmarks board and clip things to your clipix account.

The great thing about Clipix is that it allows you to name and completely customize your clipboards so that you can use them in any way you see fit.  Use them to clip recipes, party planning ideas, decor ideas, craft ideas, things you want to buy, books, movies, and so much more!

Another thing I love about clipix is that they have privacy settings on all your boards so you can decide if you want your boards to be seen by the public, by friends only, or by just yourself alone.

They also have a feature called Synchboards, which allows you to collaborate with others. This could be a great feature for family members, bloggers, and colleagues.

And then there are also Multiboards, where you can group multiple clipboards by group to stay better organized.

I just started using the site. So far I've created some boards for some things that I'd like to purchase. I'm always "window shopping" online without actually bookmarking, and then I have to go back and search for things all over again, so here I've created clipboards for Movies To Buy, Craft Supplies, and a Wish List.

Friday Favorites - Week 103

Hey everyone! Happy Friday and a very Happy Belated Valentines Day to you all!
