Spring Cleaning Poll

I've added a new poll question to the left hand side bar. It's nderneath the followers section and just above the blog archive.

And here's the question and answer options:

Do you have a big spring cleaning project planned?
  • No
  • Yes, the whole house.
  • The closets
  • The garage
  • Yard/garden
  • Bathrom(s)
  • Kitchen
  • Other

Personally I'm going to be cleaning the whole house and the yard. I don't have all the specifics yet, but I am in the process of making an extensive list of cleaning and organizing projects. And I confess that my husband will be doing most of the yard stuff, but I'll be helping in anyway that I can.

I'm also starting to do some more decorating in the house (finally!). I just bought some new rugs for the kitchen, and I'm planning to put up new curtains in the bedroom, bathrooms, living room, kitchen, and possibly the office. Decorating isn't really the same as cleaning, but it does improve the look of the house, so I guess I can count it in with my cleaning projects.

What projects are you guys planning to tackle this spring?

-Jerri

We cleaned blinds on Saturday and are planning on cleaning windows this Saturday. The garage and the yard are up next. Good luck with your projects!

I'll be doing the whole house, as you know :) It's a lot, but it's not too bad when you spread it out and just tackle a task or two each day. I won't be able to do anything in our yard or outside until the middle to end of April, but the inside will be done.

I think you can count decorating as cleaning, as long as you aren't decorating instead of cleaning. I have a ton of projects that I had to shelve b/c of bedrest. They will be there after the baby, but I guess I will call it summer cleaning, lol!

Hello. Thank you so much for stopping by my blog. I hope you are able to enjoy the recipe. I haven't made them yet, but they sure sound awesome. Looks like you can add it to the many you have as well.

On cleaning, my blinds really need to be cleaned,my kitchen cabinets need wiping down, doors and baseboards the same. You name it. There's always something to do.

Have a great day, and happy cleaning/decorating.

Barbara, my windows are in need of a cleaning too. Good luck with your projects.

HappyHermit- thank you for visiting me.

Rosie - Good luck with your decorating. Since we just moved here last fall, I've been spending the winter thinking about how I want to decorate exactly. It's fun, but it's hard to decide.

Barbara - you do have an extensive list. I should take note.

Toni - I'll definitely be decorating in addition to cleaning. As for you, I wouldn't worry too much about the cleaning. There are a lot more important things in life obviously!

I need to do a lot of things but my garage is my major spring project. I have started an overhaul with cabinets; right now it looks like I'm making a big mess! I want to finish this project before I add more to my list. Garden season is coming up. I can't wait!

I am really hoping to clean my oven next week! It really needs it. And I hope to post before and after pictures on my blog, just for fun. We also cleaned out the kids closets... that was a very productive time. There is so much more to do... one thing at a time, right?

I spent my spring break from teaching organizing my office and working on our garage. I finished the office, but the garage is a work in progress. :)
